The transition from co-sleeping to putting our little ones in their own bedrooms is one of the biggest milestones we achieve as a family. And studies have found that children blossom better when they sleep in their own little beds. So we, at My Enchanted Door, decided to take advice from the fairies to list out a few tips-
🦄 Take inputs from your child and add little things to his room, especially his bed. Items that make him happy. Like a Spiderman cushion, a little Teddy Bear plush toy or even a cute night light.
🦄 Get your children into a bedtime routine -a bath, a cup of warm milk, a story and cuddles with their Mommy and Daddy. This can begin even before they move to their own room.
🦄 Talk to them about the benefits of sleeping on their own. How they are so proud their baby is growing up and is ready to have her own little private space.
🦄 Let our friendly fairy behind the door help. Tell your child she is keeping a watch behind the door and is taking charge of her while she is away from her Mommy and Daddy. The fairy will be flying around the room once she is fast asleep and will chase all the silly dreams and monsters away.
🦄 Tell them stories about our fairy children in Fairy Land. You could give examples of Little Freddie who crept into Queen Ella's Tulip Castle at twilight, after two days of sleeping in his own tulip bud. And that was absolutely ok! He was brave enough to try again the next day.
🦄 Encourage them with tiny little notes and words from their own loving fairy. But remember to remind them that it’s ok to fail as long as they are ready to try again.
Let’s hope all these tips work. Do share your experience on our Instagram Page and visit our Products Page if you want more information about our Growing Up with the Fairy Kit.
