Good Evening!⏰

My Mamma handed me a parcel today. It was covered in some grey packaging. She gave it to me and left the room without a word. I was overwhelmed with curiosity! I shook the box to hear the sounds inside and heard a swish and tinkle. Sounded so magical!💫

I was intrigued and tore open the bag to find a beautifully printed box inside it. It had a pretty little door and tiny adorable magical images on it that caught the light of the sun and glinted as if they were winking at me!

I couldn’t hold back any more and without waiting to share the fun with my Mamma (isn’t opening boxes so exciting?), I removed the lid. There was a card on it with a message but that was surely not for me so I just put it aside to see what lay inside. My tummy was gurgling with curiosity! There was something wrapped in a shiny paper which I tore to find..

A DOOR??!! A DOOR?!! But I know my Mamma always gets me nice gifts so I decided not to burst into tears of disappointment immediately. The door was really pretty. It had a tiny brass knocker and a mini key. My excitement came back a teeny bit. I held the door in my hand and it literally gave me warm tingles all through my arm. I looked at the rest of the stuff inside. There was a small letter box that looked so cute and it had a golden ‘A’ on it. A bottle of shiny white powder was also there. I started feeling all ‘magical’ suddenly and quickly took out a few cards that were kept in a slot in the box and asked Mamma to read them and guess what she told me?

This is a Magic Door!!! I was right about the feeling I had. My Mamma has got My own Enchanted Door! I will have my very own fairy friend. She will live secretly behind my door and exchange notes with me. I’m so excited. This is the best gift ever!!🌈

I quickly changed into my pyjamas and blew a lot of Magic Dust on the door and chanted the spell twice (just in case I had got it wrong the first time). This will open the ‘portal’ so my fairy friend can travel to our world. I am so excited. I can’t wait for morning.🌤

Good Morning!☀️

Sorry, Diary! In all my excitement, I realized I forgot to tell you about how I set up my beautiful magical door. I stuck it on the wall, inside my open book shelf. My Mamma had bought some other beautiful stuff for me to decorate the door too.

There was a cute little garden which I put under the letterbox. I placed the ladder right next to it, in case the fairy would want to use it. The white window is just so cute. I put that on the left and hope to spot the fairy peeping out of it someday. My door is looking just so attractive! Once we get friendly, I am going to ask my fairy for some shrinking dust so I can play there too.

Now let’s get back to this morning, I hopped out of bed and went straight to the door. And guess what I found in the little letterbox?📮

A beautiful certificate that gives me membership to the magical world. Basically, it will allow the fairy to live behind my door. There was a lovely letter from Anna (that’s my fairy’s name) and a secret friendship code. I am just so excited about this new friendship. I can’t wait to do many fun things around the door. The first thing I will do though, is to write a letter to her. Hope to hear from her soon!

18^th Feb 2021

My fairy wrote back to me!!! She had not written yesterday and I was bitterly disappointed. But my Mamma said the fairy was probably settling in so didn’t get the time. And I really wonder how Mammas know everything because that is exactly what the fairy wrote back. She said she loved the decoration I had done for her. I forgot to tell you, I had made some Star Wars drawings and stuck them around the window too. 🧚🏽

My fairy also said she will fly by at night when I am asleep, and blow happy dreams into my head. She will write to me sometimes and she wants me to write or draw to her all the time. We will be sharing our secrets with each other and since she cannot talk to any other human, my secrets will always be safe with her. I am soooo thrilled about that.😄

I can’t wait to play around this door and show my other toys to Anna. It’s so nice to have a friend with you all the time, even if you cannot see her.

I think I won't have time to write to you for a few days as I'm going to be very busy decorating the shelf around the door. After all, isn't it my responsibility to ensure Anna likes her new home?❤️
